Our Staff
City Kids employs five full-time and two part-time teachers. It is the Centre's policy to employ fully-trained teachers or people with a suitable qualification that will enhance the Centre's curriculum. A teacher:child ratio of nearly 1:6 is the norm
The Centre has a policy for training and development which encourages staff to make use of the funding available, courses offered and additional support provided by Early Childhood agencies.
The Centre also employs a part-time cook to make meals fresh for the children each day as well as a part-time administrator.
Administrator

Our Cook
Our cook has been at City Kids since July 2000. Lydia teaches children about nutrition and allows the children to assist with the preparation and cooking of meals. Lydia provides:
09:30 - 10:30 morning tea (usually scones, pikelets, toast, or crackers) 12:00 - 12:30 - lunch (a cooked meal served with fruit and bread) 15:00 approx - afternoon tea is often cooked by the children earlier in the day and can be cake, biscuits, muffins, or a slice. The time is flexible depending on sleeps, birthdays etc.
All meals are served with water and milk is offered at afternoon tea time. Parents are asked to provide 1 piece of fruit for each day their child attends.
